Fayette County Fiber Festival

BIG NEWS!!! We’ve been working behind the scenes to transition one of our very favorite local fiber festival to be OUR local fiber festival. Today, that was completed! Melinda Boss Mare Shearing and I are the new team behind Fayette County Fiber Festival and we’ve got lots of cool stuff in the works for the next festival JUNE 19, 2027!

The Historic 1910 Ross Farm Barn is gone

I suppose I should say something. It’s on the news now so everyone will know. My personal version of hell keeps expanding. Last night around 11pm I got a call that the iconic big barn at the farm was “fully engulfed” and a total loss. All of our heritage and rare breed sheep were in the barn. They were due to lamb in 12 days. They did not survive. The skid loader’s tracks were frozen.

Foundation work begins on the old new barn

Yesterday was filled with ALL the emotions. The bulldozer arrived to start the site prep for the barn move. You expect to be excited. New barn! Moving forward! Historic barn saved! This is great!
