Sheep and Wool School Abroad – England & Scotland July 2026

It’s finally time to announce our big UK SHEEP TOUR! This opportunity is very limited (I think only 9 spots remain!) so reach out to us now to get all the info. We will visit farms, see countryside, visit farms, drink tea, visit farms, tour a distillery, pet sheep, eat fish & chips, go to the Great Yorkshire Show, see more sheep, have a lesson, eat scones and see more farms, sheep and countryside. Itinerary

Tuesday 14 – Depart USA for England

Depart USA for London, England on your overnight flight.

Wednesday 15 – Arrive London & transfer to Leicester

Arrive London where you will be greeted and transferred by coach to your hotel in Leicester for overnight. Enroute you will have the opportunity to visit a local sheep farm as a great introduction to your journey. Welcome dinner tonight at your hotel.

Thursday 16 – Leicester to Harrogate

Check out after breakfast and drive north toward the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and spend the afternoon at the Great Yorkshire Show. A chance to experience a great English event now in its 167th year. This evening dinner at your hotel.

Friday 17 – The Great Yorkshire Show

Spend today exploring the Great Yorkshire Show.

Saturday 18 – Through the Dales to Glasgow

Departing the Harrogate area drive north through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales where you will have the opportunity to visit a farm and taste cheese from a local creamery. Continue through the rolling countryside of the Scottish Borders and visit the town of Hawick – renowned for its textile and Woollen Mills. Continue to the city of Glasgow for overnight and dinner.

Sunday 19 – Glasgow to Inverness

Depart Glasgow and drive through the Trossachs and visit Lennox of Lomond. A sheep farm overlooking Loch Lomond. Continue along Glencoe with stunning scenery as you make your way along the shores of Loch Ness to Inverness for overnight and dinner.

Monday 20 – Inverness

Today you will visit Loch Ness Knitting at Drumnadrochit, a family run business focusing on naturally dyed yarn. Enjoy a cruise on Loch Ness before returning to Inverness for overnight with evening at leisure on your own.

Tuesday 21 – Inverness to Edinburgh

Leaving Inverness this morning drive south through the Cairngorms National Park. Visit at Askival of Strathearn to see how a kilt is handmade and enjoy a taste and tour in a whiskey distillery. On arrival in Edinburgh check in to your hotel for overnight with evening at leisure.

Wednesday 22 – Edinburgh

Following breakfast you will enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Edinburgh. After some free time for lunch you have the opportunity to spend the afternoon enjoying a knitting class at a local yarn shop. Evening at leisure.

Thursday 23 – Edinburgh

Today you will enjoy a knitting class and visiting wool shops in Edinburgh. Farewell evening dinner at a local restaurant.

Friday 24 – Return to USA or extend in London.

Depart Edinburgh on your return flight to USA – Or option to take the train to London and extend your trip.
