Slow Stitching – Iโve been working on some cross-stitch projects. Long May Ewe Wave and some others. On the wheel – Spinning some batts I picked up at my last show on the Hansen e-spinner
On the needles – Knit 2 new hats in the French Toasty pattern by Janis Ficker. One hat is the SAFF signature colorway 2025 for me (Rainbow Trout) and the other hat is knit in Queen City Yarn Latta Bulky in the Lake colorway. I’ve also been plugging away on the Bias Shawl by Helena Bristow in a 65%silk 35% linen fingering weight yarn from Oink Pigments in the colorway “Coven”.
Tool Time – New (to me) Dean & Bean CSM! Sheep & Wool School – This monthโs breed is Wensleydale.
Sewing Stuff – Iโve been finishing a memorial project for my BFF Beth who lost her father a year ago. They had some of his favorite shirts, which I turned into matts for photographs and throw pillows.
New and Noteworthy – NEW YARNS! UK SHEEP TOUR PLANNED! Email us at [email protected] for more info.
Out and About – just returned from Bend, OR to film some segments for Ply Magazineโs Online Spinning Guild with Jacey Boggs Faulkner about alternative breeds that are good for specific applications. VERY FUN!
In Season – Soups, stews and comfort food and LAMBS!
On Down the Road – Carolina Fiber Festival, Nash Yarn Fest and MD Sheep and Wool.
